Although Lyocell and Viscose fabrics have a similar feel, they have vastly differing environmental impact. Unlike Lyocell, the manufacturing process for Viscose is extremely polluting and harmful to the environment. Bamboo Lyocell is in many ways a superior fabric. Being lightweight and possessing an extreme soft (often described as softer than the softest cotton) feel, it ensures maximum comfort during wear. Bamboo absorbs up to four times more moisture than cotton and rapidly evaporates the moisture it absorbs. This means you stay cooler during the summer and a few degrees warmer during the winter.
