Is the Nuna AACE really worth the splurge?

As a parent, our number one goal is our child’s safety and well-being. Literally from the moment they arrive we are dedicating all of our time into keeping that sweet bundle of joy alive and healthy. Along with some sweet perks of being able to watch them grow, you never really shake that protective feeling wondering if you’re making the right choice for their well-being. This is especially true when it comes to choosing the right car seat that will keep your child safe, and secure.

Coming from the stand-point of a mother to an almost 10-year-old-now, I can attest to the fact that I’m always wondering if I chose the right option for my child’s safety. This feeling virtually faded away when I purchased the Nuna AACE booster seat.

If you don’t want to read the whole story behind the Nuna AACE being worth it, we’ll save you the suspense, it very much is worth it, and it’s one of the best and safest booster seats on the market. You can buy the Nuna AACE here:

An honest review of the Nuna AACE

Safe and Secure

I’ll tell you, that just the anchor clips alone put my mind at ease! The amount of stability is insane! The Nuna AACE comes with two guides to install in the opening for the anchor loops in your car (LATCH system) making installation a breeze. Not to mention the anchor clips on the booster seat are secured onto a metal bar that locks into place under the base. My previous seat used nylon straps that you had to pull with all your might to make sure it’s fully secure. The AACE leaves virtually no wiggle room for the seat to move!

It does what?!

Did I mention that the Nuna AACE booster seat also has the ability to recline with your cars’ seats too? You read that right. Because of the low anchors you have the ability for an 8 position recline in high back mode! This means that if you have your new Nuna AACE booster seat installed onto a reclining middle bucket seat. Your child can still recline the seat for a quick nap during long car rides. As a bonus the breathable fabric will assure they won’t get too hot either!

But wait, there’s more!

If you aren’t convinced yet, let me tell you about one of my all time favorite features. This booster seat grows with your child unlike any other booster seat!

We all know the standard booster seat provides the basics. One being the seatbelt guide to help your child stay safely secure. Another is an adjustable back when it comes to height. So as your child grows taller, you move it upwards with them. Well, the Nuna AACE doesn’t just grow with your child vertically it also has a feature to adjust the WIDTH of the high back. This allows your child to still fit comfortably not only with the height, but also in the shoulder area too!

Why switch to the AACE?

The reason I chose to switch to the AACE is the Child Restraint Evaluation Program (CREP) 5 star safety rating. When I originally started looking for a proper booster seat, I made the mistake of looking for the safest affordable option. My daughter graduated into her old booster seat at the age of 8. I chose The Graco TurboBooster Highback LX because it was listed on Forbes under the “Best Value High-Back Booster Seat”.

The problem is, I took a shortcut to find the best affordable option rather than doing more research on overall safety and ratings. This is where I learned, no matter how much you love a good bargain, some things are not worth bargaining over. Like the overall price of a booster seat over my child’s safety. In my opinion, I believe I got what I paid for and was unsatisfied with my decision. Despite what I experienced, this may not be everyone else’s experience with this booster.

I found myself constantly having to adjust the height after every car ride. My daughter would complain that the back would slide down and make the seatbelt uncomfortable on her neck and shoulder area. I thought my only solution to this issue was taking the high back off. While this was a solution to the issue, I was uneasy making this decision. It limited the safety of making sure her seatbelt was properly positioned in case of an accident. I also always felt like I couldn’t get the booster secured to the seat as tightly as I’d like it to be.

The Best Part About Switching to the AACE

No more feeling guilty or pressured to take the high back off of your booster seat before you’re really ready due to your child feeling squished by the sides of the seat! Yes, really! Because we all know, we don’t just grow up, we sometimes grow out too. So, it’s nice to have the option to keep your little one safely secured for longer.

If you need more convincing, take a look for yourself at the various color options that are unique (and to die for). Read about some more of the amazing features the Nuna AACE has to offer. I’m sure you will be convinced! There is absolutely no price on safety, especially for your child!

Worth the splurge!

Switching to the AACE was one of the best decisions I’ve made. First, because of the comfort features of being able to adjust not only height but also WIDTH. Second, the LATCH system safely securing the booster to the car seat locking into place underneath the base. Third, the 8 position recline feature making car naps a breeze. Did I say breeze? Oh yeah, The AACE also features ventilation panels within the shell, AND breathable knit fabric that’s washable! Knowing my child is safe AND comfortable makes purchasing the Nuna AACE absolutely, 100% WORTH the Splurge!
