What’s New With the New Nuna Exec Next?

The all-new Nuna EXEC Next replaces the longstanding Nuna EXEC which has been available since October of 2020.

The Nuna Exec is perfect for the family that only wants to buy one car seat to work for infants, toddlers, and children even as a booster. Even at a higher price point, the Exec is still a great value for those who want to be one and done with their child’s car seat.

How do the Exec Next and Exec Compare?

The Exec Next improves upon the Exec in a number of areas, however the biggest change customers will notice outside of the new styling, are the spacious new cupholders! Cupholder size has been a kryptonite to Nuna’s car seats, but starting with the Nuna LUMN Car Seat, and now the EXEC Next have begun improving in size.

Other changes include:

• Leatherette accents
• Quilted leatherette footrest
• Moisture-wicking fabric
• Redesigned Infant and SIP seat inserts
• Advanced magnetic buckle holders for smoother loading
• Designed to meet future safety standards (FMVSS No. 213a and 213b)

Without having our floor model yet, it seems based on the picture comparison the Exec Next has a more open headrest area which may make it more comfortable for bigger children as well.

Another observation is the change in the release button for the straps to be more completely covered by the fabric overlay.

What we know about the Nuna EXEC Next

The Nuna EXEC Next will include the same features that we know and love from the original Exec including:

• 12-position headrest
• No-rethread 5-point harness
• Adjustable leg rest & anti-rebound bar
• 8-position recline
• Use from 5 lbs (rear-facing) to 110 lbs (booster)

The Nuna EXEC Next will launch in three color fashions: Caviar, Biscotti, and Granite and will retail at $680 for pre-sale on November 13th, 2025.
