Kyte BABY clothes, blankets, accessories and Sleep Bags are made from ultra-soft bamboo! In order to keep them soft, avoid pilling, and keep the colors vibrant, follow the complete guide for caring for bamboo baby clothing items such as Kyte BABY.
To keep your Kyte BABY products in the best shape possible, give them a little special treatment.
Note: If possible, use an outdoor clothing line to dry your Kyte BABY bamboo products! Not only does drying in the sun prevent damage from machine dryers, it saves energy. PLUS, sunlight can help to naturally remove stains from spit-up, diaper blowouts, and messy eating, and kill microorganisms in the fabric.
Try to choose a natural laundry detergent that is free from fragrance, dyes, and other ingredients that can irritate baby skin, and reduce the life of your bamboo clothing.
We recommend natural detergents such as Dapple Baby Laundry Detergent, Biokleen Baby Laundry Liquid, and Attitude Little Ones Fragrance Free Laundry Detergent.
Getting to the stain as soon as possible is key to removing the stain. Follow the directions of the stain remover for best results. Be sure not to rub the stain a lot and damage the fabric (which can cause color degradation and pilling).
We recommend using a natural stain remover, such as Dapple, or you can use traditional stain removers, such as Shout Advanced.
If necessary, it is possible to iron your Kyte BABY items to remove wrinkles or creases. Set your iron to a medium setting to avoid scorching. Slightly dampen the fabric to aid in removing the wrinkles while you iron.
A fabric steamer is also a great alternative to an iron!
Recommended storage for Kyte BABY sleepers, clothing, blankets, and sleep sacks is by folding and placing in a drawer or on a shelf. Hanging these items may cause stretching and misshaping that can create a loose fit that is dangerous for your baby.
Preventing pilling in the first place is ideal! Wash your Kyte BABY clothing inside out, and always on gentle cycle.
For light pilling use a fabric shaver, but be careful not to remove too often as this may cause holes in the material.
